Poh Kong operates through three main segments:
A critical development to understand: Poh Kong is witnessing a structural demand shift from traditional jewelry toward investment gold products. As gold prices rise, more consumers prefer buying gold coins and bars as a store of value rather than purchasing decorative jewelry.
Director Ermin Siow has acknowledged that "higher prices spur stronger demand for gold as investment" even as jewelry buying sentiment softens at elevated price levels. This behavioral shift has significant implications for Poh Kong's revenue mix and margin profile going forward.

How to Get Gold AccessPoh Kong closed FY2026 with record numbers since its 2004 listing. Full-year net profit was RM193.37m (up 59.7% from RM121.1m) on revenue of RM1.93 billion (up 14.5% from RM1.69 billion). For Q4 alone, net profit was RM36.20m (up 59.6% from RM22.68m) and revenue RM378.36m (up 3.5%).
| Quarter | Revenue (RM m) | Net Profit (RM m) | Net Margin | Profit YoY |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Q4 FY2026 (Jul 2026) | 378.36 | 36.20 | 9.6% | +59.6% |
| Q3 FY2026 (Apr 2026) | 585.57 | 70.02 | 12.0% | +47.1% |
| Q2 FY2026 (Jan 2026) | 528.84 | 47.54 | 9.0% | +60.6% |
| Q1 FY2026 (Oct 2025) | 439.94 | 39.61 | 9.0% | +85.6% |
| Q4 FY2025 (Jul 2025) | 365.50 | 22.68 | 6.2% | +3.0% |
| Q3 FY2025 (Apr 2025) | 533.93 | 47.60 | 8.9% | -0.1% |
Look behind the numbers: revenue rose only 14.5% but profit rose almost 60%. The full-year net margin jumped to about 10.0% from 7.2%. Management attributes the result to a higher gold price lifting margins. Note: Q4 is taken from news reports; other quarters from our internal database.
Q4 was weaker sequentially (revenue down 35%, profit down 48%). This is partly seasonal and partly because gold has started to retreat.

How to Get Gold AccessThe board proposed a final single-tier dividend of 5 sen per share for FY2026, versus 3 sen for FY2025. The total is RM20.52m (based on shares in issue at 31 July 2026), subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM.
At RM1.06, 5 sen is a yield of about 4.7%, almost double last year (3 sen at around RM1.16 was 2.6%). That is a 67% rise in dividend per share.
But compare it with earnings: FY2026 EPS is about 47.1 sen, so the payout ratio is only about 10.6%, nearly the same as 10.2% last year (RM12.31m of RM121.1m). The dividend grew in line with profit, not faster. Based on our database and the news, no interim dividend was recorded for FY2026.
