Rewind to February 2025 and SanDisk was a spinoff nobody paid much attention to — separated from Western Digital (WDC) and starting trading around $38-48 a share, while WDC kept the slower-growing hard-disk (HDD) business. Fast forward to mid-2026 and SanDisk is now a roughly $240-256 billion company, up about 892% year-to-date and somewhere between 4,000% and 6,500% since the spinoff — one of the most dramatic corporate transformations Wall Street has seen in under 18 months.
The story is simple but powerful: SanDisk is now a pure-play NAND flash memory company, no longer overshadowed by WDC's slower-growing HDD business. As the AI-datacenter buildout created massive new storage demand, global DRAM/NAND makers reallocated fab capacity toward HBM chips for AI accelerators, triggering a broad memory shortage. NAND contract prices rose more than 38% in a single quarter in early 2026. SanDisk entered this upcycle with a leaner cost structure (after right-sizing capacity during the 2024 downturn), so much of the price recovery is flowing straight through to the bottom line — classic operating leverage.
SanDisk operates across three core end markets:
CEO and Chair of the Board is David V. Goeckeler, leading the company since February 2025. He previously served as CEO of Western Digital and was a key architect of the split into two public companies (WDC and SanDisk) — so he isn't new to this business, he simply moved seats with a sharper, more focused mandate. CFO is Luis Visoso.
SanDisk is not yet in our local Zoya reference database — it's a relatively new standalone public entity. The core business activity (semiconductor/NAND flash manufacturing) is not inherently non-compliant, and the company reports zero long-term debt, a positive signal for the debt-ratio screen. However, we cannot yet confirm the full Zoya screening (interest income ratio, receivables ratio). ✅ Zero debt is a positive for the debt screen. ❌ Not yet fully confirmed — please check the Zoya app independently before making any investment decision where Shariah compliance is a hard requirement for you.

How to Get Gold AccessSandisk reported fiscal Q4 2026 revenue (quarter ended late June/early July 2026, reported August 5, 2026) of $8.97 billion, up 51% sequentially. Management noted roughly one-third of that sequential growth came from higher volumes and two-thirds from higher pricing — confirming the revenue surge is driven primarily by sharply higher NAND flash pricing amid a global supply shortage, not just unit growth.
For the full fiscal year 2026, revenue reached $20.25 billion (+175% YoY), with GAAP net income of $11.43 billion. The Datacenter segment — the key AI-era growth engine — jumped 76% YoY to $440 million in Q2 FY26 alone, driven by hyperscalers accelerating AI infrastructure buildouts.
On the balance sheet, Sandisk carries a $2 billion term loan and a $1.5 billion revolving credit facility established in February 2025 around its spin-off from Western Digital. The debt-to-equity ratio remains low.
