- Independent adviser Asia Equity Research: fair value RM7.31 (SOTP) — "not fair but reasonable".
- Morningstar independent valuation: RM9.79/share.
- Pangolin Investment Management (Singapore, ~10% of minority) publicly rejected — "too low, holding long term".
- 2 April 2026 EGM: 87.47% by value voted AGAINST the SCR — privatisation FAILED.
- Now (May 2026): Trading at RM5.70 — below the already-rejected "not fair" offer of RM6.15!
What is Market Expansion Services (MES)?
DKSH does not manufacture products. They are the "outsourced sales arm" for companies that want to enter or grow in the Malaysian market without building their own infrastructure.
Picture a European pharmaceutical company wanting to sell medicine in Malaysia — they do not need to build warehouses, hire sales staff, register with the MOH, or manage logistics. DKSH does all of that in exchange for a margin or commission.
